A Hard But Honest Word of Advice to My Daughter

The wisdom literature in the Bible is about knowing the world as it is and living accordingly. We don’t conform reality to fit us—that’s impossible—but we conform ourselves to fit reality.

So, we’ve been reading through Proverbs and are about to read through the Song of Solomon, and as a father of a daughter, it’s got me thinking: what does she need to know about the topic of marriage? Why does it seem that there are so few marriageable men? What happens if she never meets someone worth marrying?
