You have a big opportunity in front of you—to not only positively impact a child’s life now, but to make a lasting impression on them for life.

We are looking for Mungarians who are eager to serve as a positive role model to a child in our neighborhood and improve the East Dallas community at the same time.

In just one hour per week, you can give a child at Lipscomb Elementary the invaluable gift of your friendship and leadership.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the time commitment?

1 hour a week, during school hours.

Where would I go?

Lipscomb Elementary

What kind of things would I be doing with the child?

Play board games, talk about school or family, help with homework, etc.

Will we be allowed or expected to talk about God and faith or are we helping them with homework?

You are allowed to talk about your faith & God if the student asks you questions. You will also be helping with homework, amongst other things.

What if I'm out of town one week? Is that ok?

Missing a week with your mentee must be an exception, not the rule. Consistency, over time, matters more than intensity.
