Small Group Leaders
Our small groups are life-changing communities focused on spiritual growth and Christian fellowship- two things that are vital to living a Christian life. Because of that, our small group leaders are some of the most important people in our church, without them we wouldn’t be able to create such a strong, vibrant and loving community. If this sounds like a ministry you’d like to be involved in, please prayerfully consider being a small group leader at Munger.
Here’s what you’d be committing to:
- Small group launch on September 17 at 4pm. This is when we’ll form our new small groups- the whole process will take no more than an hour, and childcare will be provided.
- Two hours each week. Our groups meet for an hour and a half, once a week. The other thirty minutes is for you to get ready for the Bible study portion of our small groups. We’ll provide curriculum for you, but it’s a good idea to look it over and be familiar with it before meeting with your small group. The day/time of your small group meeting is entirely up to you.
- Prayer. Spend time in prayer for your small group members throughout the week.
We live in the most connected society in history, but it’s also the loneliest society in history. We are all in deep need of real, authentic relationships. Our small groups provide those. More importantly, our small groups provide meaningful Christian community- we cannot live faithfully on our own, we need the support and love of fellow Christians in order to live as Christ lived. Leading our small groups is an important, rewarding and joyful task.
If you feel called to lead a small group at Munger, please fill out the application, and you’ll hear back from us soon!
