Equip Classes at Munger are designed to help you grow in faith by integrating every part of who you are. Some classes may look like traditional discipleship, while others might stretch you in new ways - engaging different sides of your brain, embodying your faith, and deepening your understanding. Whether you’re building a spiritual habit, learning a hands-on skill, or exploring Scripture in a fresh way, these classes will equip you to follow Jesus more fully in your everyday life.

SUNDAYS

And Then There Was Light (Bulb)

Sundays, 9:30am | Begins February 1

What do the creation accounts in Scripture teach us about God, humanity, and the world we inhabit? How do we faithfully hold these ancient texts alongside our everexpanding scientific understanding? Rather than telling you what to think, we'll guide the group in discovering what each account is fundamentally teaching and invite reflection on how those teachings can be faithfully understood in our scientifically sophisticated world. Given the diversity of our church community, we expect participants will learn as much from one another as from the texts themselves. Whether you're a scientist, a skeptic, a lifelong believer, or simply curious, this class offers space for honest questions, thoughtful dialogue, and deeper understanding of how faith and reason can walk hand in hand.

Munger Unplugged

Mondays, 7-8pm | February 9, February 16, February 23, March 9, March 16 and March 23

Psalm 22 says that God is enthroned on our praises. God clearly wants us singing worship music to Him. There is a vision in the book of Revelation in which John of Patmos describes a glimpse of heaven: a door is opened and John is allowed to see God in his throne room, and all the heavenly creatures and elders are singing to God. They could be doing anything they want in heaven, but they are constantly, only singing. I don't need any more evidence than that to know that there is a powerful connection between worship singing and God. If you agree with me, come out to my little gathering. Bring your instrument, whatever it is, and let's jam for an hour. Or if you prefer, bring your voice and sing along with us. Or bring nothing at all and just hang out and listen. Curious observers are welcome. There is not much structure and discussion and debate are most welcome. I will provide a musical chart with lyrics and chords for players and singers. Feel no obligation to return or come for as many jams as you like. My yoke is easy and my burden is light.

We'll all meet back at EDMG by 9:15 for coffee and fellowship after.
